Under 8's parent needs to attend.   8th - Geo Caching in Holland Park PACK LUNCH zip card needed Geocaching is an exciting outdoor adventure. It’s a treasure hunt for the digital generation, where you can enjoy the freedom of being outside and discovering new places. All you need is a handheld GPS and a sense of fun - both supplied :) A geocache or ‘cache’ is a small waterproof treasure box hidden outdoors. Geocachers seek out these hidden goodies guided by a GPS enabled device which uses coordinates using a smart phone - please bring this with you. Young people can share. A visit to the design museum if we have time. - Belle has a wealth of knowledge to teach young people this fun way to explore/ they will be working on small groups &  researching logistics.

This day is being organised by one of our YP who is an avid train spotter. He is organising this trip to stop off along the way to certain pieces and takes photos. A cable ride has been promised in the mix. This will be self led to enable the YP to navigate their way on the tube in London with leaders on the side lines watching. PACK LUNCH. Young People can choose what part they want ie sing/dance/act or all 3!!!! This is all about them shining/confidence and having fun. Musicals being used are: Wicked, Hairspray, Six. Come and join Stuart our resident drama and theatre coach for his summer camp week! Learn a range of skills from improvisation to scriptwriting and devising; all of which will culminate in a performance on the 18th. That’s right : a brand new play in 4 days! All you have to do is bring your smile and willingness to be involved and you’ll be a part of a theatre company; together we’ll create something totally new.   This art group is to inspire and also work on talents already found. We aim to guide inner artist to be found by showing  various mediums and techniques. Here is a list of what will be taught. We do like to be able to go with the flow which means some activities will go on longer than others. This all depends on the engagement from everyone attending. Activities which will be taught are: Abstract painting Mindfulness mandala painting on canvas bags with fabric markers Painting step by step landscapes and exploring famous artists and styles Mixed media – photography Life drawing Clay and wire sculpture Botanical ink drawings Mosaics Collage mood boards Sustainability and recycling projects Whenever we can we will bring in working artists to talk to you about their journey and give  live sessions. If you are an artist and would like to lead an activity to show YP what their possibilities are and to share your knowledge please get in touch.

Stuart will be in from 1-2pm to work with those who want to work on their Drama/Script writing before The Youth Club begins at 2pm.

Stuart is a trained Actor/Comedian. He has directed many plays, has an album on Spotify and has worked with YP on numerous occasions in schools as well as with theatre groups. Spiritus Youth Theatre Group aims to put on performances twice a year - Summer & Winter, to showcase to parents as well as perform to the public. Stuart works very closely with what ticks our YP boxes, making sure they are all engaged and getting something from the group. It may be confidence, it may be working on their skills and having fun in general. They will be asked what performance they would like ot work towards and be encouraged to work o their own script as well as improvise. This group will have YP acting/singing & dancing. YP will not be made to take part in all 3 if they do not want to. Yp will also be encouraged to bring in instruments they play to bring into the performances.
